A Little More About The House...
This charming 4-bedroom farmhouse, dating back to the 17th century, is located in the picturesque hamlet of La Bergerie the rural Charentes-Maritime region of Southwest France.
The interior blends modern comfort with rural French charm, showcasing numerous period features. While the house an open-plan kitchen and dining area, many guests prefer to use the BBQ or dine al fresco on the terrace during the warmer months (April - September).
The expansive garden is truly the highlight according to previous guests, offering an idyllic space for relaxation under the sun. It a large heated pool and a field with a stream at the bottom, perfect for wildlife spotting.
The spacious lounge is equipped with cozy sofas armchairs, and a flat-screen smart TV with access to all popular apps, along with high-speed Wi-Fi.
Rooms & House Layout
Upstairs, you'll find two rooms and two more downstairs. The first double room upstairs offers ample space for two adults with a king-size bed and can also accommodate a baby cot.
Next door is a similar-sized room with two single, perfect for children or adults, and there's enough space for a toddler bed, which we can provide upon request.
The first downstairs double bedroom has a slightly longer and narrower layout, easily fitting a baby cot or dog bed.
The second downstairs bedroom is quite spacious, featuring a double bed and extra room for a single camp bed or toddler bed, available for larger groups.
For larger groups, there's a comfortable double sofa bed in the lounge.
Pets are welcome, but please note that the expansive garden (2.5 acres) is not fenced. For more details, check out the photo gallery.
Payment Details
Once the dates have been confirmed you will need to pay a 25% holding fee, payment details will be supplied via email shortly after your booking is made. We use Stripe to process your payments securely online, you can use a credit or debit card.

The 25% holding fee is refundable up to 7 days after it is received in case you change your mind (please note there is a £50 processing fee that will be deducted).
The full balance must be paid 6 weeks prior to your arrival date but don't worry, we'll send you a reminder!
Pets are welcome - but be aware the garden is large (2.5 acres) and is not fenced off.​ We may ask for an additional disposal for pets (on a case by case basis).

Caron and Nick, who's six children (and now 3 grandchildren!) spent their summer's here and when it became the family's full-time home between 2007 and 2018 they also enjoyed having animals such as Bruno the donkey, who now lives happily at a local sanctuary, as well as goats, chickens and ducks, until the call of 'home' (Hertfordshire, UK) pulled us back.
